Doesn’t dim enough This light is very easy to install. The two-part plug-in makes the connection frustration free, and then the spring wires on the sides pop it right in. Installtion took me all of three minutes because I had trouble getting the old bulb out. The light is plenty bright, but it’s not very dimmable. It does dim a bit but never gets very dim. It doesn’t dim all the way to zero like a regular bulb. I have Lutron dimmer switches, and when they ramp up from zero, this 15-watt bulb pops on at about 50%…
Good color, brightness. Not recommended for retrofits. Flimsy spring clips. If you have new construction, which basically means your cans are above the drywall, you will like this fixture.However, the rims are not forgiving at all, meaning they will show a gap if there’s any distance between them and the flat surface. Some other brand lights have a slight curve which would hide the gap.Also, the spring clips can come off easily, and can be difficult to put into the can because they twist very easily.I do like the color temperature…
