2. It is not for use in totally enclosed luminaires. However, semi-enclosed fixtures would be recommended.

Much better than CFL’s Bought these bulbs to replace the 150 watt equivalent CFL’s I had. These are far superior. They use about half the energy (40 W vs 22 W), stay cooler, produce more light (3000 vs 2600 lumens), and are a vast improvement all around.
