70 watt metal halide replacement Purchased and installed the 24 Watt version to replace a 70 watt metal halide. Removed ballast, capacitor, etc and wired line voltage (120 volts) directly to lamp holder (via photocell control). As seen in the photo, it is a more than adequate replacement. The fixture on the left is the 24 watt corn bulb, the fixture on the right is a 70 watt metal halide.
