Fantastic color and brightness – almost identical to halogen at 1/10th of the electricity draw I am really, really hoping that these will perform well over time, because right now I am so impressed with these LED bulbs.First of all, the previous reviewers are right: they give off a true soft white light that is almost identical to the halogen bulbs we had been using (maybe a smidge greener, but that could just be the halogens leaning magenta). This is so hard to find in an LED! Also, they are as bright if not slightly brighter than the 20W halogens – at 1/10th of the wattage…
Color is great. Brightness great. But a few quirks in my application. I bought these LEDs (G-4 base) to use in Kichler undercabinet lights (that had Xenon bulbs, T-4 Base, 18 W, 12.8 V). I had to make my own insulators to make the G4 base of these LEDs fit in the T-4 base of the Kichler housing, but that was easy. The color and brightness of these lights is great, about like the Xenon bulbs they replaced. And of course, the LEDs use is a lot less energy. They do, however, flicker slightly. It’s pretty faint, but a little annoying. I would give them a 5 star…
