I used these to replace the 20w halogen bulbs above the oven. I would say they are close but not quite as bright as the halogens. The color temperature is slightly cooler but still warm white… halogen is 3000k, and I would guess these are around 3500-4000k. The LED emitters and circuit boards are all inside a clear rubber capsule, so they are durable and the only way to break them would be to break off a metal pin.
