Adds mood to the music. The Fretboard Illuminator works very well on both my banjo and my acoustic guitar, when playing in a dimly lit or dark room. I can see it faintly in a brightly lit room, but that is when it wouldn’t be needed. I do play often in a dimly lit room, so it has been a very helpful tool for me in my learning to play my stringed instruments.
