Seems good so far……… For the “cheap” flashlights, this seems like a good one. I have many flashlights including some fairly high end ones that I carry on patrol as a police officer. I have and use lights like a couple of different Fenix lights that I use weekly and others like Thrunite and various Streamlight products. The A1 is almost identical to feel, power and function as my Fenix PD35 and Thrunite TN12, both rated at 1,000 lumens. I have other slightly cheaper lights like the UltraFire…
The A1 is a well built light with good anodizing, smooth threads that were well lubed ATACTICAL is a new company with only a couple of products at the moment , but that may be changing very soon the way it is looking to start shaping up. This A1 is priced at the time of this review at $19.99 on the Amazon site , which makes it a budget friendly light. Atactical is working through / with ThruNite on the testing and advice of these products so I feel the quality should be there , as it is at least with this particular light. The A1 âSâ model is in the making with double the lumens…
Just as powerful as my much more expensive streamlight 2lx when comparing 500lumen on the 2lx vs the 550 lumen rated on the a1. I ordered it in neutral white and I probably should have got the other color. Only 2 downsides to this light compared to the streamlight is the pocket clip doesn’t let the flashlight sit as deep.It also doesn’t go in 2 directions allowing you to wear it on the bill of a hat like the streamlight. Lastly it doesn’t have a “strike bezel” like the streamlight…
