Magnetic Base and Lantern Features are Nice This flashlight runs on four AAA batteries. You cannot use an 18650. Versatile flashlight/lantern that is perfect for the car or camping! This versatile light is a great design and has both a zoom function as well as a lantern function by sliding the lower section of the light down to reveal the lantern area LEDs. I really like this design but the only complaint I have is that when you are holding the lower section normally and you try to zoom the top part of the flashlight you end up pulling the lantern part down as well and this can get annoying.
