So in general these lights are great. They follow the LED light strip standards, so you can connect them to other light kits of similar design. They do work fine to provide ambience lightning behind a TV, under a bar, etc. The remote is required to turn them on and off. While this is standard for these light kits, its kind of annoying that you can’t connect the lights to a standard on / off switch. These are also only indoor rated, so they are not covered in any polymer like the higher quality…
These lights are pretty much exactly what I expected them to be from reading the description on the listing. They are a strip of LEDs on a roll, and while the LEDs themselves are not color changing (and I didn’t expect them to be from buying similar lights before) I can make different patterns and light shows with a single strip of these multi-colored lights.The lights are not waterproof, but can be made so very easily IF you know what you are doing.
