So as mentioned by others, nothing to cover exposed circuits on the “back” side, not even a cheap layer of conformal coating. But a smear of high temp silicone would rectify the issue. For my wifes beloved 1998 IKEA bedside lamp, no need, even though the reflector is metal, this comes no where near it, for your application, better be careful. I think it puts out as much light as the 20 year old 20w halogen it replaced frankly, and nowi don’t have to gripe about how hot it…
