Amazing Brightness and Dimming Range I had recently installed the Wemo Dimmer in our bedroom and replaced the bulbs with Great Value Dimmable LED’s from Walmart. The bulbs barely dimmed between 1% and 100% . The dim range was very poor. I calibrated the lights many times with many settings, to no avail.Then I returned those and looked for dimmable LED’s that worked well with Wemo Dimmers and found Cree was recommended, especially for the dim range, which was exactly my problem area with the Great Value bulbs…
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…… These emit an annoying hum when paired to my Eaton trailing edge dimmer. Even more noise than another Ikea non-dimmable LED bulb. One is about as loud as a medium fly. Four of them are as loud as an old CCFL tube light. Tried another Ikea dimmable LED bulb on same dimmer and got no buzz.Pro’s:- These dim great – they are as good as halogen lights – they can be dimmed from fully off, to candle light, all the way to full brightness, fairly linearly.- No flicker whatsoever…
Great Bulbs I have recently installed several dimmer switches in my home and have tried multiple bulbs including Phillips branded and the 75W version of these bulbs. See below. These bulbs are the best that I have used so far. Incredible dimming range down to 1%. They give off little to no heat when they are on.
