Not like the other goose neck lights. This light is bright and sturdy! I honestly thought I was gonna receive another one of those cheap, flimsy, not so bright lights. Boy was I wrong. Must have for indoor plants with out much sun My house plants would not live and thrive through this winter without these full spectrum grow lights. I like the gooseneck feature because I can adjust the direction of light in any direction I need it depending on the location and heights of my plants. The bright white light is easier on the eyes than the purple hues. The lights do give off a small amount of heat but not so much that you will burn yourself if you touch it. It does not have a timer…
