The Gama Sonic Plantern GS-111PL solar outdoor path and garden light provides homes with extra curb appeal. The Plantern sports a black finish and gets its name from the included planter Configure it in one of three ways. With the light attached to the planter, either place the Plantern on a deck, patio, porch, or walkway or mount it as a wall lantern. In both configurations, the Plantern provides extra lighting while displaying and illuminating your beautiful potted plantings. Or you can detach the planter and stake the light directly into the ground as a path or garden light. Whatever way you choose to set up the Plantern, no electrical wiring is needed to power it up–just sunlight. The solar panel at the top of the lighting fixture harnesses the sun’s rays to charge an internal Lithium Ion battery. At sundown, the light will turn on automatically and provide and atmospheric 40 lumens of light. Its designed to operate for eight hours when the battery has been fully charged during the day. The light’s replaceable, plugged battery pack is good for about 1,000 charges. With proper setup for optimal sun exposure, a sunny day without cloud cover should be sufficient to provide a full recharge. Recharging speed will vary based on weather conditions, but no charging will occur if direct sun does not shine on the solar panel, so don’t put the Plantern in the shade. Meh There isn’t a review on this yet, so I will post one although I’ve only had this a few days.For the price of $40 I thought the construction would be nicer. The description didn’t say what the materials were, but it is all plastic. It looks ok from a distance, but up close it looks cheap.The instructions show a battery door that is not there. To get to the batteries I presume you have to remove the two nuts which you can hand-twist and then the four tiny screws. I balked…
Pretty Good for the price I got 3 of these a couple of weeks ago and at first it wasn’t what I expected. I didn’t know they were plastic. But after putting them up and adding plants they look great and stay on all night. The light they give off of 4 LED lights is pretty good, just don’t expect it to be as bright as a normal light bulb. Installation took about 10 minutes for the first one since I didn’t know what I was doing yet, but the second was much faster. I’ve replaced by normal lights for these solar lights and I…
