Let there be (lot’s of) light Purchased two of these to replace two strings of halogen mini lights under a cabinet. Man are these bright! We’ve made use of the hi/low switch on the fixtures to tone them down at times — or even shut one off. And being LEDs they generate zero heat versus the halogens under which my wife could melt butter. Easy install — I hardwired since that was the setup for the previous lights. Bad Description. False Advertising. NOT DIRECT WIRE!! Buyer beware. I bought this to install in a place I had been hired to remodel. I purchased because is said direct wire. They need to be more specific in the description that it is NOT direct wire. You have to purchase a low profile junction box and plug the light into that box. I ended up throwing the thing outside and making a hurried trip to Loweâs to buy a direct wire light. Since I threw it in frustration there will be no returning it.
