Installed two of these in the hood over the stove top. They have a glass cover to protect them from the grease. They are on the soft white side, no dominant blue and a touch of the warm yellow. I hate the halogen lights and the bulbs were getting burned ridiculously very often. I tried these lights and the differences are immense. No bulb heating, easy on the switch and last 10 times longer if not more.A great substitute and big saving in electricity bills when using these.
