Safety issue?
I put these in the engine compartment light, and the under dash courtesy lights of my Jeep. The incandescent bulbs get hot, and sometimes fail from the rough ride. They replaced a single contact #89 accessory bulb just fine. The bulb assembly is “potted” in a very clear rubbery polymer (urethane?) which should make it splash and vibration resistant. Only time will tell how long they will last, but so far they are nice lights. They are longer than many OEM bulbs, so make sure you have enough…
