It’s OK to switch the OUTPUT I bought this to continuously power a backup camera on my camper. It looks like it can do that for at least 8 hours. Note that the instructions say “To charge, ensure that the battery is turned on. If the battery is in the off position, it will not charge.” That’s not the case for me. The battery charges just fine when the switch is in the off position. If there’s some down-side to charging this way, the manufacturer should jump in with a response to this posting. One nice thing…
by the next evening it seems like it is already dead Do you hate how dark it is inside your hall closet? I did, and I solved the problem by installing a Hitlights LS3528_WW_WP warm white LED strip all around the inside of the door frame, with this “transformer” plugged into the handy duplex outlet provided in the closet for the doorbell. (For technical folk: I put “transformer” in quotes because it’s not really a transformer — it’s a universal-input, switching-type AC-DC power supply.)Yes, it does get warmer than I’d like in…
I know it is just a battery pack but doesn’t last that long. Even if I use it for an hour, turn the lights off, by the next evening it seems like it is already dead. Maybe I should have dropped the extra cash for the 6500mAh one??? Little disappointed because all my HitLights products are Excellent and customer service has helped me in the past with extreme professionalism. Think I will just have to hardwire to get the effect I am looking for. Not what I needed but solid build and good…
