Electrical burning smell. Bulb fell apart after 20 min I bought these to replace my CFL bulbs. They had good reviews and the price was reasonable. I replaced two bulbs in identical lamps in my living room. After 20 minutes I walked back in to find a strange odor and one lamp color was much bluer than the other.I went over and turned the lamp off and when I removed the shade, the smell of something electrical burning was in the air. Didn’t Work Well With The Dimmers I Tried. I tried this bulb with the two linked Lutron dimmers and determined neither combination was very effective.The Lutron made specifically for CFL / LED bulbs caused the bulb to flicker at intermediate settings, enough to be bothersome. I didn’t hear any buzzing noise.The Lutron made for incandescent bulbs caused the bulb to either get bright rather suddenly and could not be dimmed to a great extent before the light would go out completely — a narrow dimming range.
