I’m a huge fan of Hyperikon bulbs, and these delivered. They’re nice and bright, they’re a perfect warm-toned 2700K, I love the color accuracy (CRI 94 according to the box). They also dim well, with no weird noises or flickering. First please note that these are narrow-angle dispersion, spotlight-type bulbs. This is what I wanted, and they aren’t that common to find. However, once I installed them, I found them a little too bright for my application. The narrow angle of light dispersion makes them seem brighter. This can be useful and more dramatic in the right setting. I considered installing dimmers but instead just went to flood-style bulbs. The quality of these is very high, though. For some reason LED bulbs powered by AC make my eyes hurt, and these Hyperikon PAR30 bulbs are no exception. I had to put the incandescent bulbs back in. On the other hand, I really like the Hyperikon MR16 12v bulbs. I put them in track lighting which I rewired to be 12v in the track and connected to a regulated DC power supply. Then they don’t hurt my eyes. The other issue I have is that 2700K still looks just a bit too white for me compared to halogen and incandescent, and the 2300K bulbs…
