I had several fixtures with bad ballasts and several different types of fixtures First off I will state I bought this item with the understanding I needed to rewire my fixtures. The rewiring was simple as many fixtures I just tucked one end of the old tombstones into the fixture and all I had to do was move power over to the new tombstones the tubes come with. These are great replacement bulbs; all the more so if you’ve got any fixtures with bad ballasts. These bulbs bypass the ballasts, they light instantly in all temperatures, they make no sound, they don’t flicker, and they are a nice bright white light. It was easy to cut out the ballast wiring to bypass the ballasts. It took maybe 10 minutes to rewire; 5 minutes each after I’d done a couple.
