Decent lights for the price, but there is some subtle flicker (PWM) Not bad. Built well. Good somewhat natural coloration, excellent for vanity light fixtures in a bathroom. There is a slight flicker to this bulb, though. It’s called PWM (pulse width modulation), which is a technique used to conserve energy and attenuate brightness. Some LED bulbs have a very high rate of PWM, so it’s not detectable to the eye, while others have slower rates that can be noticeable. It’s slightly better after the bulbs “warm up”. Probably won’t matter to the average…
Great while they last I guess but don’t buy I bought a few of these bulbs in September 2014. I like the small size so they can fit practically anywhere, the energy usage is minimal and the light color is great. Unfortunately as of now, February 2015, two of them have failed. So much for long life. The first one failed in December 2014 and the other just this past week. When they fail, they begin to flicker really bad and also become very, very hot. Hotter than any incandescent or CFL I’ve touched. I’m not sure why an LED would get…
2700K is nice “warm” tone. Great price for 4 LED bulbs. There is a distinct difference between 3000K and 2700K bulbs, to me. If you really like the “warm yellow” look of incandescent bulbs, then these bulbs are for you. I tried G7’s similar bulb, but the G7 at 3000K were definitely “whiter” than these. The LE’s are closer to the color of an incandescent bulb. These LE’s are only rated at 200 lumen (and the G7 rated at 250 lumen), so I was worried they’d be too dim to use in the lights over our kitchen island/bar, but they are just…
