I really liked these for their low profile I really liked these for their low profile. They put out a lot of light and were “sort of” easy to install. They look nice when all was done. I benefitted from previous comments about the lack of a ground wire (it is just a 2-wire system). Also, to meet US code, you do have to tuck the baffle and the bare wires and wire connectors into a junction box. So when planning the install, they don’t just sit somewhere in the ceiling. Fantastic Light, Super Easy Install! Our home is over 100 years old, so it has a lot of weird construction. One of the strangest was the use of 2×4 rafters for the roof. It is a raised ceiling with no attic space so that gave me 3.5″ for a recessed light. No way a regular recessed light would work, to deep, and too hot, I have insulation in the rafters.
