Excellent replacement for 75W halogen bulbs We have a house with multiple halogen E11-base fixtures. Tired of burning through 75W for each of the bulbs, we chose to try replacing them with LEDs. Note that in each fixture there are multiple bulbs; we leave burnt-out bulbs in most of these to save electricity (really, who needs 4,000 lumens of light for a bathroom vanity???) I put these into our dining room chandelier in place … I put these into our dining room chandelier in place of 5 of the 6 incandescent bulbs (now I have to see if I can buy the odd one, not another 5 !). To be honest unless you look at the actual bulb there is no discernible difference between the light from the LEDs and the remaining incandescent one, with one exception, the LEDs project a pattern onto the ceiling, the incandescent doesn’t. That does not matter to me, but we’ll see what “She Who Must Be Obeyed” says if/when she notices…
