Five Stars (See Update) Well made. Made with ceramic, not cheap plastic.UPDATE 1/6/2016:I have to offer an apology to viewers of my initial review of this product. These base adapters are not made of ceramic. They are made of a really hard and high quality plastic that really fooled me into thinking they were ceramic. I even bit down with my teeth on an edge to see if they were plastic and even then I was fooled. They continue to work great in my ceiling fan although one of the adapters wasn’t…
They work…but not rated or UL approved. I want to be perfectly clear that my rating (3-star) has nothing to do with how this product performs. It has to do with there is no wattage rating or number (UL, etc…) of any type on these adapters. They work – period – but I would feel better knowing a rating. I have them in my living room ceiling fan which had 40 watt incandescent bulbs which I have now replaced with these adapters and a LED bulb that draws only 9 watts (equals a 60 watt incandescent) giving 800 lumens of natural light…
