Rough start, but a good finish These navigation lights are ok. They do meet the USCG 1 mile requirement for small boats. The LEDs are contained in a weatherproof shell that is quite solid, but the stainless steel cover is quite flimsy stamped sheet metal that is about as thin as they could get away with. These are not as strong and sturdy as cast stainless steel units, but that is reflected in the price. Update. CS reached out to me and is offering a replacement, which is great. I did find out why the one unit didn’t work. It appears that the wires soldered to the back of the diode board were not 100% attached. When I went to pull the bad one off for testing, the wires came off quite easily. I think that this is a case of a bad unit.These do fit the Perko mounting holes perfectly, so if you are interested in replacing Perko lights, these will swap out with no changes…
