License plate light for my custom bumper
My wife and I stumbled around in the dark in our new to us motor home fumbling for roof mounted light switches. We concluded that we needed a night light. I found this little guy and it works perfectly. It’s very bright for its size so the reflected light off a rug was enough to see the ceiling lights but not so bright as to be intrusive when you’re trying to sleep. Power consumption is minimal but I mounted a switch anyway so it didn’t have to be on 24/7. It could drain a battery in a few days…
I put these on a flatbed I built for my truck. The reasons for 4 stars instead of 5 are, tiny unusable mounting screws (use heavier screws or bolts), they are not really “warm white” they are white, not a issue but advertise them right, and if you look at these lights directly from the back (where other vehicles will be) they shine very bright to the rear. I fixed this by masking the very front of the light with masking tape and sprayed a light coat of flat black spray paint on them…
