Bulbs work well and save electricity. I was previously using LED bulbs with external sockets that detected light levels. These were sensitive to direction and I could not tighty secure them in the outlet since the light sensor would face a wall.These bulbs are not sensitive to direction and can be tightened into the outlet. As advertised, they go on at dusk and off at dawn. Even the bulb I installed on my porch which has an overhang works correctly and does not seem to be affected by passing car headlights or street…
Great light bulb to light up front and back door to house. The daylight is almost a blue color. I put it in our entry way so that we can see better with our 1970’s DoorScope. I would go for amber color if you want it to match all the other lights on the outside of neighbor’s houses.I thought they would turn on all the time seeing as the socket they are installed into is recessed, but they do not turn on until it is actually night outside.
