In addition to the wired plug assembly, there are 2 wires coming out of the back of these lights with a metal enclosed resistor (not sure what it is for). Before attaching to the jeep, I remove stock lights and plugged the LED lights in for testing. After only being on for 2 or 3 minutes, I grabbed the resistor, which was just hanging at this point, and almost instantly let go to avoid getting burned. These resistors get dangerously hot! These are less than others and say they fit your Jeep Wrangler, but I didn’t find that to be the case. The description of this doesn’t mention that you have to drill out the existing holes and mount using nuts from inside the body. There are no installation instructions when they arrive and depending when I went to install them, I found a connector with 3 wires on my Jeep and NO CONNECTOR on the lights and 4 WIRES.
