Surprisingly bright. VERY bright. Puts my older 2-AA LED non-pro mini mag to shame. There is no comparison whatsoever. You really need to see it to believe it. I don’t doubt the lumen rating at all. This Pro does however get noticeably warmer than the older non-pro. In just a minute or two of use the lamp end will get quite warm to the touch. Simple care and feeding of LED Maglites I have read complaints that the LED Maglites flicker on and off, similar to older incandescent models. I use mine on a daily basis, flicker free, and have shared these tips with others at work. One problem that I have encountered is sticky operation of the head with flickering.
