Choices I had to give up my Streamlight Stinger LED. It was a great light and served me well. Having become accustomed to a quality flashlight, I set out to replace it. First Impressions The “on” time using full power is shown on the box as 4h (not 4.5h). After three charge/discharge cycles with each charge period lasting over 24h (recommended for the initial charge) mine is only staying alight for 3.5h. It should be noted that the light suddenly dies with no warning. This could lead to problems if you are used to a tungsten bulb, which goes dim long before it goes out. Good, but not great. It seems a step down from the older, incandescent Magchargers in some ways. It’s lighter, but that could be the switching mechanism and that it uses a plastic reflector instead of aluminum over plastic. The body doesn’t seem any thinner.The lens is polycarbonate which is a definite step down. Lighter and shatterproof sure, but less light transmission, and will get worse as it gets scratched from daily use.The focus is nice as it goes from flood to spot to flood in about a quarter…
