The manufactures recommend using the 18650 or high end AAA batteries Fairly well made, not high end. I do not believe the 1500 Lumens is correct, with that being said they are very bright. And that is just using regular AAA batteries. They came with the AAA holder and also the plastic tube for using one 18650 battery. Those seem to last longer and makes the light brighter. Not terrible. Good packaging. Fast shipping. I have a lot of tactical flashlights. I bought these as gifts thinking they were all alike. I tested these ones against the others. It was probably about half as bright as most of my others. I tried it with both 3 AAA and a 18650. It was the same brightness with either one.
