Put one on my car AND my lawn tractor! First off this is in no way designed for bumper protection! It is as the title states. A light bar mount. Yes it will assist in preventing parking scuffs but its intended for mounting auxiliary lights. This item makes it simpler to mount them on today’s cars. Was easy to mount on my 2010 Hyundai, I obtained 3″ self tapping metal screws so it would go through the bumper filler and secure itself to the steel bumper support. A Good Little Bar I like this little bar, but there are a few things I would have liked to know before purchasing it.First of all, it’s not universal since it won’t fit if you have a license plate bracket. This can be easily fixed, however, with a few careful measurements and a power drill. I ended up mounting mine behind my bracket after drilling two accurately-placed 1/4″ holes. Looks nice without any extra weight. This has enough mounting holes in it to probably fit anything. I mounted it to the front of my truck as to facilitate auxiliary lights. It is a lot lighter than I had figured it would be. probably around 1 pound or less in total weight. Because my license plate mount in the front of my Tundra is slightly recessed compared to the upper bumper, I had to shim between the bar mounting plate and the license plate mount to get it plumb or drill holes closer to the top for it to miss the bumper.
