Solid Upgrade It’s a very bright LED that should last a long time. It does protrude a bit further than the previous incandescent bulb did in my 2D Fulton flashlight. Due to being slightly further forward, the light produced is not ideal, since it does not light the reflector 100%, so beyond 3 or 4 feet, a dark spot in the center appears. So far so good i used this after Hacking my six volt lantern type flashlight to swap the polarity of the bulb contacts. The LED must have center contact positive, but the square six volt batteries have the center contact negative. Tungsten bulbs don’t care. Depending on the brand of lantern flashlight, this kind of hack can be Quite difficult, so if you are planning on it, figure out how you are going to do it ( without shorting out the battery ) before you buy the bulb.
