Lights are perfect at night and the strips … I stuck these (3 strands attached together) directly to the underside of my rain gutters to act as Christmas lights (and Halloween, etc.) that I’ll never have to take down. The adhesive was not quite strong enough to be permanent, but I imagine if I had sanded and cleaned the surface it would have worked. As it stands, I used superglue, and it looks awesome. Start with the roll that includes IR controller if your only buying one of these The instructions say these should be installed by an electrician, which is a little intimidating for Christmas lights. But after I bought another roll of lights (with the IR controller!) and a separate power supply I connected the two rolls together and they fired right up, and the dancing light patterns are pretty cool.
