Bought 24 of these to replace old “can” lights. Perfect! I replaced the old style recessed “can” lights with these after finding that there was no insulation above or around my old lights. Apparently, I’ve been heating my attic and ultimately the outdoors for the last six years. Not anymore. These lights are IC Rated which means you can have insulation in direct contact with them. I originally installed the living room lights because of the high ceiling and low light in areas. I was surprised how much light they give out with no heat at all. I’ve added a dimmer which make it even better. I’m now going to add them to the whole house. For the price they can’t be beat. They were easy to install just cut a hole and wire up. I bought 36 of these when remodeling my house. I wanted them to work wherever and however I needed them. These things work great and are easy to install. Yes a few wire nuts and a 6â hole saw bit on a drill makes it a lot easier but I have these in showers, living room, kitchen, and bedrooms.
