Why would you ever install recessed can lighting again? I have been using LED “panel” lights for a couple of years now. The first generation lights required some thought as they did not offer junction boxes and you had to add one to make them code compliant.The newer generation that Ostwin offers are fantastic. Just OK quality.
Doesn’t meet code for consecutive wiring I love these lights. Unfortunately the electrical inspector did not. He informed me that the junction box was only big enough for one 14/2 romex connection so each fixture had to be wired individually as opposed to consecutive. This results in using much more wire and possibly having to mount a junction box on the wall close to the ceiling.
