Used these bulbs as part of my conversion of my landscape lighting to 12v LEDs. They seem to work fine – seem to have a nice plastic coating which I’m assuming will help deter the weather, although I have them all in weather-tight in-ground walkway cans. Been running several months now at night with no problem – looking forward to see if they make it through the winter when the snow covers the cans, but at this price happy to replace if not. Happy to report that at 3w these are much brighter…
Be sure of the room you have as these bulbs are quite large (relatively speaking). My application is for an under the counter light that have 3 of the G4 Halogen bulbs and I need replacements. I was thinking about using an LED for replacements but these bulbs are way too long and I can’t put the glass cover back onto the fixture. If your application has the bulb moving parallel to the line of the fixture you might be ok but if as in my case the bulb sticks out perpendicular then you might…
