Philips Energy Saver Compact Fluorescent 14-Watt Dusk to Dawn automatic post light is ideal for use in enclosed post light fixtures. It has a soft white light, similar to incandescent light, with a built-in photosensor to turn the light on at dusk and off at dawn. This 14-Watt Dusk to Dawn post light bulb replaces your current 60-Watt incandescent A19 and lasts at least 7 years.
Note: Life based on average usage of 3 hours per day, 7 days per week. Rated average life based on engineering data and probability analysis where the bulb is used on average 3 hours per day, 7 days a week. Dusk to Dawn lamps installed in close proximity to each other can affect performance and cause on and off cycling.
Multiple Dusk to Dawn lamps should be separated by at least 10 feet. Certain fixtures with lower transparency can potentially reflect the light back into the sensor, causing on and off cycling. Do not use with dimmers. Some electronic timer and photosensor switches contain dimming circuitry, so before using such a switch, check with its manufacturer to ensure compatibility with electronic CFL bulbs. Do not use with emergency exit fixtures or lights.

Solid bulb but stays on during the day at times I love the bulb… it is the easiest way to add the “dusk to dawn” feature to an existing light fixture. I tried to use the “add on” dusk to dawn socket to the fixture… but that made the bulb too long and it did not look right or function well.I used these lights in two areas… one works well, the other does not.On the front of our home we have two wall mounted fixtures with clear glass. No problems! These bulbs work like a champ!Under the car port I have…
Works much better than separate socket style ones I have tried more than one type of “screw in” socket type photo eye adaptors for CFL bulbs. This bulb with built in photo eye is the only one that actually works. They used to sell it at Home Depot, but don’t any more ( I asked). I had purchased one last year for my back porch that works perfectly. This is one of the only places I could find the product. I also like it because the bulb doesn’t hang way down out of the fixture like it does when you use the socket style. I will buy more of…
Great bulb! I purchased this bulb three years ago for my outdoor porch light. It works wonderfully–it comes on in the evening and goes off in the morning, however on cloudy days it tends to stay on due to the reduced sunlight, and overhang of our porch. Despite all these extra hours of use, this single bulb lasted 3 years without flicker and good light output (not dim). I tried to find it in the big box store where last purchased and they no longer carry it, and didn’t know what I was talking about;…
