I used to nail clippers to trim the middle tab to look like the stock bulb which I believe was a 9006 I replaced my low breams with these on my 2005 Grand Cherokee. I used to nail clippers to trim the middle tab to look like the stock bulb which I believe was a 9006. It was an easy mod, just a little trimming and it snapped right in. My lights seem like a legitimate 50% brighter and very white opposed to the softer yellowish light from the stock bulbs. I also purchased the 9011s for my highs and my fogs, I haven’t installed them yet but I anticipate needing to do a trim on one or both as well…
Installs easily, works great. I already installed one side with the Philips 9006 headlight that I bought from Kmart in the past 1-2 years(?) for my T. Highlander. Perfect replacements for the 9006 bulb I do a lot of night driving, especially in the winter. So, being able to see the road well is important.
