Yes! Now this is Compatibility & Easy Enough to Do I tried the Philips LED “InstantFit” with no success due to being incompatible with my existing ballasts, and required a compatible ballast to remain in the fixture. Now this one is as reasonably assured compatibility as you can get, because you just remove the only point of incompatibility, while at the same time removing the highest likely future point of failure, leaving only the LED bulb life itself. Really bright. Replaced two old lights with two of these and have MUCH more light. Easy to install; anyone could do it. While these can be installed leaving the ballast in place, my reading leads me to believe the efficiency is better if the ballast is gone. Just cut the wires off the old blast and discard it.
