Mode Selection a deal breaker for me I recently received the SOLARAY ZX-1 LED Flashlight. The packaging is ok, a little on the cheap side with little to no instructions. The aluminum is of average quality. I did not get the model that comes with the 18650 batteries and I didn’t have any laying around so I was unable to test full brightness. Not a well thought out design. amazon sells a dozen lights that look identical to this one and I went with a choice that was priced in the middle. I don’t like the fact that I have to cycle thru the blinking stage and then cycle thru the second blinking feature to finally reach the third stage, which is simply a flashlight that stays on. Turn it off, and you have to go thru the whole process again, which is not a big deal, just a stupid design with no seemingly easy way to circumvent the extra steps. No instructions or paper…
Great Duration & Brightness – terrible pain to have to toggle through 6 cycles to get it to shine High My husband liked that it could last longer having the bigger battery…liked the brightness…but didn’t like that he had to toggle through – high, medium, low, strobe, SOS – every time he wanted to turn it on/off; he wants just on (HIGH) & off. If this had that capability it would completely change this rating and we’d keep it.Incidentally, there is no mention of it toggling through the options anywhere on the seller’s Amazon page for this item.
