I wanted to install an LED downlight in an area of my basement that had drywall ceiling but was not excited about having to cut the ceiling and install a traditional “can type” recessed lighting. This Sunco 6 inch LED with its slim profile was the solution. I simply cut the hole in the desired area and did have to factor in joist support. I don’t understand why a few others noted that they were difficult to install. A few of the lights had the clips pop off during installation; yet, it was easy to reinsert.Came with a gasket for install in wet locations such as a bath. These lights are awesome. Easy to install and such a great price compared to the ones at big box stores. I liked that they came with the retrofit screw bulb adapter or the led clip in. The springs on these are tricky and can get annoying, but once they are in, they arenât going anywhere. I tell everyone to check these out before buying at a big box if they want to save someMoney without sacrificing quality.The customer service is great too. A spring on one of my lights broke…
