Great light output but not a true T8 Fixture. Surface mountable but…. I purchased these to replace 25 lighting fixtures in my 5000 sqft automotive repair shop. I have had bad luck with LEDs and wanted fixtures that I could replace the bulbs with. I was under the impression from the description that these came with T8 bulbs. These are not T8 bulbs. They are the same size but are not removable or replaceable. You can also surface mount them but you can not hard wire them like a standard T8 housing. Brighter than fluorescent and saving money! Purchased for a 24×22 garage to replace two old 8 ft fluorescent lights and two 4 ft fluorescent lights. I always have complained about these old fluorescent lights not being bright enough when I would do any work in the garage. Put these lights up, Amazing!! They are super bright!
