Excellent 100 Watt replacement. So far, so good. I’ve used a CFL in a fixture for a room that needs good bright light many hours per day. The CFL got too hot and it seems that they don’t operate so well upside down as the heat rises into the fixture (Ceiling Fan) and overheats the electronics in the base. Bright, quiet, and energy efficient, but… I purchased three of these bulbs to use on outdoor lights. Two next the front door and one next to the back door. I was quite pleased with the amount of light cast by the 100w size.
