We used these in a 120 watt kitchen lamp that normally takes 3 halogen g4 35 wattbulbs. The difference between the two lights is amazing and disappointing.The LED’s run MUCH cooler, but that’s about all you can say for them. Otherwise they are not as bright as halogens, they flicker terribly (and this was not even on a dimmer!). Once they get this right it will be great technology, but it’s not there yet.Pros:Plug compatible with Halogen G4’sRun cool…
These are a remarkably good replacement for low voltage halogen bulbs, and indeed dimmable (with a good range) with a good control.The light they produce is good, and pretty consistent throughout the full 360 degrees… There is a slight discoloration along the line of its seam as the housing refracts the light a bit, but it’s quite minor.I’d tried others, and they simply weren’t bright enough… These, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations completely…
