Working like a beast, with one caveat… I’ve had this in one of my little projects for the last several weeks, working like a beast so far! The trim pot to adjust voltage is a nice little feature, it’s range seems to be about 10.5v to 13.8v with no load. In actual operation drawing at 50% capacity (10 Amps) the voltages drop, from the 10.5v down to 9.6v & stays there for the duration of the load. Strangely enough this suits the application that I have for it, but it may not be a good fit for others that need the constant voltage…
Solid supply with thermal and regulatory approval notations Purchased this to power a 12V fan, with a power consumption of about 80 watts, so a bit more than 50% of the nameplate rating on this unit. The first “challenge” is that it is not autoranging across the entire voltage range. A switch must be set to 110V or 220V. Unfortunately, that switch is not exposed to the outside of the case. I literally had to get a jeweler’s screwdriver which would fit through the cooling holes to switch the switch. The switch itself wasn’t very satisfying…
