Here’s how much brightness you can realistically expect from your flashlight.
On average, an LED will produce 90 lumens of light per watt.
Example: A 10 watt LED at 90 lumens per watt has a maximum brightness output of 900 lumens. If the LED type is mentioned, fact check the source on the LED manufacturers website.
The flashlight uses an 15 Watt Osram P8 LED which has an efficiency of 130 lumens per watt.
As 1800 lumens is sufficient to illuminate darkness over 500 yards, we have programmed our LED to shine at 1800 lumens for the maximum setting, giving 5 hours of run time at this brightness, maximizing the usability of our product.
