SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME If you’re starting from scratch with a tank…. this is great. If you’re retro-fitting an existing tank with it…. not so good. Will not adhere to the bottom of the tank as it is intended to do. I ended up using the suction cups to mount it to the underside of the glass tank cover which does a great job lighting the tank but the aeration aspect of it doing this is useless (which I use other aeration devices, so no big deal)… like the light it casts into the water and the fish seem to like it…
I do like it at the bottom since it casts a glow … I have a tall 55 gallon tank and placed this at the top for a few weeks till my next tank clean when I could get it down to the back and secure it. I do like it at the bottom since it casts a glow through the openings of my coral reef and colors the bubbles on the way up but I actually liked it better at the top for a few reasons.
