They do provide light, BUT… PRO: They work – do provide light – maybe enough for a small closet. Cool White light as expected is fine. InexpensiveCON: Not Dimmable – I knew that when ordering, but tried them anyway for the hallway. NOT as bright as I expected. That ‘lumen’ rating can be misleading once the frosted cover is on. NOT bright enough for a hallway or small bathroom, maybe a SMALL coat closet? NOT made to fit into a standard ceiling box fixture like the larger ones I bought…
