Great for the price Purchased this to use as over the cabinet “accent” lighting after researching a number of LED strips/panels. For the price I decided to try it as other kits sell for well over 5x this unit. Installation was a snap…drilled a hole on the top cabinet so the unit can be plugged into the over the range microwave’s 110v outlet, secured the rope with heavy duty double sided tape along the wall/edge of cabinet top and finally put a manual switch in-line with the outlet. High-quality product. Ordered this rope light to replace incandescent rope light that we use as a surround on my wife’s gift store display windows. The incandescent rope provided a nice warm white but never lasted long (maybe 2 years), and I hoped that this LED rope would solve that problem. I can’t comment on the durability yet because we haven’t had the rope long enough, but the quality of the light is amazing! The pure white is of course much ‘colder’ than the incandescent was, but it has added much more ‘punch’…
